What do you come for?
You do not need a referral. Osteopathy does not replace treatment by your doctor: your osteopath focuses on the problems that come with it and works with your doctor where needed. Not every problem has its own page yet: we are adding them step by step.

At Magnus, osteopathy and physiotherapy are two separate treatments, each with its own appointment.
First visit of 45 minutes
Your osteopath takes the time for your story and examines your body as a whole: joints, muscles, breathing and tension.
Treatment
A manual treatment, tailored to what your osteopath finds. Usually a few treatments follow, with time in between.
Together with your doctor
If something points to a condition a doctor should look at, your osteopath refers you to your GP.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral to see an osteopath?
No. You can book an appointment directly.
How long does a consultation take and what does it cost?
A consultation takes 30 or 45 minutes. For a first appointment we recommend 45 minutes. A consultation costs 57 euros for 30 minutes and 85 euros for 45 minutes.

Most health insurance funds reimburse part of the cost. Read more about reimbursement and insurance.
Osteopathy or physiotherapy: which suits my problem?
Osteopathy is often a good choice for problems that linger or keep coming back. For recovery after an injury or surgery, physiotherapy is usually the better fit. See the overview of the differences or the conditions our physiotherapists treat.
My problem is not listed. Can you still help me?
Possibly. Send us a message on WhatsApp and we will look together at whether osteopathy suits your problem.
